JUST in FCT: Sen Aduda demand third term for Senate, I am not ready to step down for anybody
Distinguished Sen. Philips Tanimu Aduda who served two terms in the national House of Representatives between 2003 and 2011, and was elected to the Senate for the Abuja Federal Capital Territory in the 9 April 2011 elections, running on the platform of People’s democratic party (PDP) made his clear to his supporters in Abuja that he is not ready to step out of his position and urged them to still support him for the third term in office as FCT Senator.
The Senator was quoted while speaking with Sytomnnews reporters “ The reason why I said I am not ready to step down yet is simple and not a do or die affair but to the best of my understanding if a child goes to school he or she must complete three terms in school before promotionto another class or level”.
Meanwhile he made it clear to the public that Fct will always remain under the leadership of PDP despite the recent challenges of the Area council elections, but come 2019 all the Area council elections in Fct will we recovered by PDP including the House of representative seats in Fct. H e further said that the interesting aspect of it that brings hope is that 80% of people in Fct are PDP members.
While speaking with the Sytomnmnews repoters “Why the people of FCT needs me is that I have served them with no discrimination of whatsoever both indigenes and non-indigenes alike residing in Abuja and I am ready to still serve the people of FCT with such spirit, the testimonies of my good works are everywhere and it is evident. And I want to still make a promise that I will continue to serve the people of Fct with integrity and prove the dividends of democracy”.
The Sytomnnews reporters gathered information from Sen Philip Aduda that wining election is not a do or die affairs as we commonly take it to be in Nigeria but he described it as the will of God, since the leadership is been chosen by God. He said “ I believe in God almight that come 2019 I will win my election as FCT Senator”.
